How I started creating jewelry for healing and transformation
As a Shamanic Healing Practitioner, the main part of my business is in working with individuals to transform anything my client considers a problem and to help shift their energy to a vibration that is in alignment with what they desire. I do that in a very specific way and that process is outlined in a Kindle ebook you can find at howtotransformproblems.com.
Making transformative jewelry, “just happened”. I did not think I had any talent or ability (or patience for that matter) in the area of jewelry design and creation. However, I do love gemstones and crystals and had quite a few that were just sitting collecting dust, and so I wanted to learn how to do a simple wire wrap so that I could wear them as jewelry.
So, I started watching YouTube videos and the more I worked so closely with the stones, the more I wanted to work with them.
And then one day I started a piece, stopped when I was half way through and came back to it the next day after meditation.
Before that meditation, I was thinking about how to finish the piece, and in that meditation, my unicorn spirit animal came to me to showing me my hands glowing with him over my shoulder as I worked on the piece.
He showed me how he would help me with the piece and infuse his unicorn magic into the piece.
The piece I was working on is one that I’ve kept, as it has the energy of my unicorn guide, and I wear it whenever I’m making jewelry and I know I am Divinely guided it its creation. Since then I have seen myself in meditation working on jewelry and even having angel wings behind me!
Between the stone, who speaks to me about what it does best, my own intentions and my guide’s special magic, you can be sure that you have purchased or received something special and I am humbled and grateful to be of service.
My process for creating jewelry
I create either when I’m inspired to do so, or when a client has a custom order. In the case of the custom order, I will tune into your energy field, get a glimpse of what your vibration might feel like, learn what stone would be best to help you in some area of your life and request the Shaman Styled Stone program that will be weaved around the stone to enhance its energy and at the same time be specific to your energy field.
You may choose the stone and wire that you prefer to be “Shaman Styled” to your energy and can also indicate the problem you would like it to be designed to heal or transform. If you do not have a specific request, I will be guided as to what elements to use.
After the piece has been created, I then tune into it specifically and read it. It generally tells me something about any imbalances you may be experiencing, what alignment actually looks like, and the vibration that will help you achieve that alignment. When I use the word ‘alignment’, I am talking about 1) who you truly are without all of the defense mechanisms that may have been in place and causing dis-ease and/or imbalance in your life, 2) what your purpose is for this life, and 3) what you want, whether it’s related to your health, finances, relationships or otherwise.
Benefiting from the magic embedded within
Obviously wearing your jewelry is the most common way to benefit from the energy it emits.
I really like to use gemstone beads in my creations because you can connect with them by touching them, twirling them, and otherwise, playing with them.
You may or may not feel the energy directly, but know that it is very powerful!
You can also look at it, study it, admire it and even talk to it.
It represents you, so if there is something about it you don’t like, it may represent an aspect of yourself that you are unhappy with. One of the most powerful ways to transform any problem is to first accept it. When you have a hard time doing that in yourself, you might try doing that with the ‘imperfection’ you notice in the Shaman Styled Stone. In fact, the more you love it, the better “you” will feel and the faster your transformation will be!
How Healing Occurs and a Gentle Warning
I’m finding that the jewelry is similar to a session in that it encourages a release that brings you to the vibration needed to transform any “problem”. It may also create opportunities to initiate this release, learn the lesson meant to be learned and therefore the shift that needs to occur, creating advancement along your path.
It doesn’t necessarily negate our lessons, and may even accelerate them.
Know that you are here for a reason and if you are out of alignment with your purpose, you may be experiencing hardship and this work is meant to create the alignment that brings health and happiness.
I find these pendants are teachers.
Since I’ve been creating the jewelry, I’ve been so busy that I either fall asleep in meditation, or my mind is all over the place with what I have to do, so I’m not getting anything in meditation.
However, whenever I make a pendant that’s not meant for someone specific… I might be practicing some new technique or something… and then read it, it almost always has a message for me.
If you look at your Shaman Styled Stone, as if you are looking at clouds, parts of it may look like something familiar. And that “something” may be a message for you. As mentioned above, when you can connect to the piece in this way, you’ll have even greater benefit.
NOTE: If there is a great difference in vibration from where you are now and where the Shaman Styled Stone is meant to shift you to, you may not be able to wear it for long periods of time. As with any high vibrating stone, if you feel greatly uncomfortable when you’re wearing it, take it off until you feel more “normal”. Allow the shift/transformation to happen in small doses. The discomfort comes either from the vibrational shift itself, or from any resistance you may have to the events occurring around you that would create that shift. The more you resist, the more the “problem” persists. Know that what may be happening is for your highest and best good and that you can choose the pace of the transformation by wearing your jewelry when you want to experience the higher vibration and can handle it.
Caring for jewelry created from wire
Please note: Because handcrafted items require specific care, Shaman Styled Stone Jewelry creations are not recommended for children under the age of 13.
General Maintenance: Do not shower, sleep, expose your creations to harsh chemicals such as those found in hot tubs or swimming pools, or exercise while wearing your Shaman Styled Stone Jewelry creations. Do not wear your jewelry while applying hairspray, lotions or other skincare products. Do not clean your creations with an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner or abrasive fabrics. Avoid intense and/or prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. Some stones are sensitive to the sun and colors may become muted if exposed for a great length of time.
For Sterling, Fine or Argentium Silver or Gold and Gold-Fill only, rub a dime-sized drop of Dawn dish-washing detergent across the surface, rinse beneath lukewarm water, then pat gently with a clean, dry and soft cloth. For bare, natural copper, brass, stainless steel and bronze creations, rinse for 30 seconds in 2-3 tbsp of Worcestershire Sauce, rinse beneath lukewarm water, then pat gently with a clean, dry and soft cloth. Allow to dry completely before storage (preferably in a zip-lock or air-tight container).
A Note on Natural Metals & Oxidization: Most Shaman Styled Stone Jewelry copper creations are constructed from raw materials (unless otherwise specified). Copper, bronze and brass (I haven’t yet used bronze or brass) will age or patina with wear and use, and is not treated to prevent this natural oxidizing process, and are, in fact, often oxidized specifically for this effect. To avoid further patina, scrub your natural copper, brass and bronze creations lightly with a fine steel wool pad (inexpensive and available at any hardware store), once a month or as needed, dependent upon the amount of wear the piece experiences. Rinse beneath lukewarm water, then pat gently with a clean, dry and soft cloth. Stainless steel creations will never tarnish!
Note on Colored, Anti-Tarnish Copper (rarely used in my creations): Colored copper creations are coated with a tarnish-resistant layer, should not tarnish and cannot be cleaned, except with a water rinse and gentle pat with a non-abrasive dry cloth.
